Domaine de l'Arlot

Fine de Bourgogne Hors d'Age - Domaine de l'Arlot - Géraldine Godot

Burgundy

GODOT Géraldine

Contrary to Marc de Bourgogne, Fine de Bourgogne comes from the distillation of the fine lees of the wine, which are recovered from the racking of the barrels, in this case filled with fine selection of Pinot Noir. Distillation is done with local spring water...

Géraldine Godot has been the winemaker of Domaine de l'Arlot she succeeded Jacques Devauges in 2014. This Burgundy native, microbiologist, oenologist and graduate of the Jules Guyot Institute in Dijon is the leader of an impassioned, unified team, all driven by the desire to produce truly great wines that offer the most authentic expressions of the terroirs of Domaine de l’Arlot. The history of the Domaine goes back to the 18th century, when Jean-Charles Vienot had walls built around the Domaine de Premeaux-Prissey, thus founding the Clos. In 1891, the property was sold to a wine merchant, Jules Belin, who enlarged the estate with the purchase of Clos des Forêts Saint-Georges and Clos du Chapeau, which together would become the Domaine de l'Arlot. Today, this estate is synonymous with the sumptuous wines and climats of the Côte de Nuits, offering cuvées of great elegance that are the result of extremely precise work in the vineyard, with organic and biodynamic viticulture practiced here since 2000. A paragon of Pinot Noir, whose wines will age in your cellar exquisitely.
